Kriebstein Castle

This medieval castle stands at the heart of the Dresden-Chemnitz-Leipzig triangle. Known as the most beautiful knight’s castle in Saxony, the enclosed, fully retained building complex from the Late Gothic era rises from the steep cliffs over the Zschopau river.
Highlights not be missed here include a tour that takes you from the deepest cellar to the faithfully restored attic floors of the monumental residential tower, the castle chapel and its valuable paintings dating back as far as 1410, the Kriebstein room, interior rooms furnished by the von Arnim family and the castle well.
A number of rooms can also be hired for weddings and family and corporate events.
