Trebsen Castle

Trebsen Castle – elegance in a historic environment! Here at Trebsen Castle, you can experience everything from glamorous weddings, unforgettable private functions and medieval Tafeleyen banquets to entertaining events, such as artisan markets, medieval tournaments and live concerts.

Just half an hour from Leipzig in the green heart of the Saxon Land of Castles, the stately Trebsen Castle looks out over the western banks of the Mulde river. The four-wing castle complex greets its visitors from afar with its late Gothic façades interwoven with multifaceted gables. Inside the castle itself, a charming restaurant invites you to stay that little bit longer. Under the grand diamond vaults, visitors can enjoy freshly prepared à-la-carte dishes, sweet treats with coffee, entertaining medieval Tafeleyen, stylish weddings, elegant wine tastings, personalised parties and much more. The castle kitchen combines traditional farmer’s cuisine with elements of royal dining, spicing everything up with a pinch of creativity. All dishes are freshly prepared, and the castle’s chefs are committed to finding the best quality ingredients, sourced from the local area wherever possible. In pleasant weather, diners can sit outside in the inner courtyard and on the castle terrace with a view over the Mulde river.

As well as the historic restaurant, the castle is also home to a magnificent ballroom and registry office, and will soon offer stylish hotel rooms.
