Lake Hain

At just under 600 hectares, Lake Hain is one of the biggest lakes in the Leipzig New Lakeland. Located about 20 minutes by car from Leipzig's city borders, it offers a variety of watersport activities as well as a restful atmosphere.

Enjoying an idyllic location nestled within the historical village of Kahnsdorf, Kahnsdorf Lagoon is found on the southern shore of Lake Hain. Take a leisurely stroll along the two-kilometre promenade, which is dotted with boat houses, holiday homes, sailing schools and boat hire facilities. Not far off there is also a small sandy beach with a beach volleyball court and its own mooring jetty.

Water lovers will also enjoy jumping into the cool, clear water on the northern shore, where there is a newly built camping and caravan site.
