Explore the Leipzig New Lakeland by passenger ship

Scheduled services, sightseeing tours and trips on demand on Lake Markkleeberg or Lake Störmthal (the latter including canal trip/lock) run from April to October. Special trips to celebrate family occasions, office parties, Christmas events or weddings can be arranged.

The "FMS Wachau" holds up to 130 guests. In high season, it departs twice a day (except Fridays) from the Lake Markkleeberg promenade and heads to Lake Störmthal via the canal and lock. From there, it docks at the Lagovida holiday resort harbour and then returns. During the three-hour trip, the boat stops seven different mooring points at which passengers can embark or disembark.

The "FMS Markkleeberg" is the largest of the two passenger ships and offers space for up to 400 people. The tour across Lake Markkleeberg departs several times a day from May to October. The trip takes one hour between the lake promenade and Auenhain Bay.

Each passenger ship has been built to the latest standards in technology and meets the high environmental requirements of the Leipzig New Lakeland. Each boat features air conditioning and heating, and is also accessible to those with disabilities. Passengers can embark and disembark at every jetty without having to climb any steps. Bikes can also be transported. An extensive array of on-board refreshments is also served.
