On a stroll through the Bad Düben Spa Gardens, you can tread historic paths and enjoy the outdoors in peace. The spa gardens were established in 1848 and were among the first public pleasure grounds in Germany. With their fountains, flowers and rhododendron plants, small treatment facilities, a barefoot path and a wonderful variety of trees, the gardens are an idyllic oasis of relaxation. They encircle the Waldkrankenhaus (forest hospital), a specialist orthopaedic hospital and rehabilitation centre with its specialist cardiology, neurology and orthopaedic clinics. Since its renovation, the traditional Kurhaus Hotel & Restaurant in the middle of the park is an inviting place to linger over culinary delights and enjoy the spa's summer concerts.
